Hi, as regards shielded wiring/cavity ideas, long ago, when I was doing lots of guitar & etc wiring, I was told to only ground one end of the shield to avoid a ground loop. Naturally you want the circuit wires to form a complete circuit.

Others may have better suggestions. Does this make sense?

Getting old is a weird experience when you start to lose the data banks.

Good luck with the build. More young people should step into creating their instruments. Whoo knows where that will lead. I built a successful business that led to better things.

Like all Gibsons they used shielded wire... at least all the one's I've owned and worked on have had it.
Too much junk to list... always getting more.
