Rickenbacher B6 missing fret marker replaced
The 21st fret marker of the Sol Hoopii Rickenbacher B6 has been awol since who knows when, and playing without it has really become an issue. Fortunately, Stew Mac had 4mm pearloid dots that, while not perfect, will do the job. I lightly tapped this one into place and it fits very snugly, though not quite sunken like the others. I really need to have precision in the upper register, so this is going to help enormously.

Nice job , Mike. I used white nail polish to fill mine but your repair looks much better!

Hi Mike:
Another simple fix for these is to find a white pencil eraser and you can "wear it in" to just the right shade of off-white and size, too. Easily removable. Helpful hint #2 - also works very nicely in frying pans, especially the red dots. (:
Been enjoying your old TriCone again, hope all's well.

Looks good, mine still has all of them but good to know there's replacements. I don't know the story of that guitar, is it really Sol's, if so that's awesome man.
I've had a few Bakelites over the years but recently scored my dream one, a single volume knob, chrome plate, just like Sol's in this picture

Aloha Mike,
Thanks for sharing.
The fact that you are the care taker of a guitar that was owned by the very first mass marketed Guitar Hero is beyond cool.
Enjoy!
