I visited Emmons in Sevierville yesterday. Man what a fun trip. Met both Darin and Kelcey. I was upfront about not really interested in purchasing a new guitar this trip and we went on from there with a terrific 2 hours visit. These are two of the nicest AND knowledgeable guys you will ever meet. Darin showed me some of the innovations they use like 1/2 tone tuning under the keyhead instead of having to hunt underneath and find it. I'm a big guy and couldn't really get under the demo guitars without detuning the Es. My leg works both raise and lower unless you widen them out! If I had been in the market, I am positive they would have taken the time to make the necessary adjustments for a better fit for me. Darin played a bit, man good tone. Underneath the guitar (which I know is not everyone's realm) is an absolute prime example of craftsmanship.
I needed a 1/2 tone tuner for my 78 Original and while digging me one out, Kelcey showed me the back of the shop where he was working on a 1978 not too many serial numbers from mine. He showed me the new Kluson tuners that have 19:1 ratio. I had previously changed mine with Gotoh, but these are much much smoother, so he fixed me up with a set of those too. I had a terrific day and want to thank both these gentlemen for the courtesy and hospitality they extended.

Thanks for the review. It's great to know Emmon's legacy continues.
Excuse my naivete, but can you still buy a push-pull?

That's their speciality! Their ReSound 65 is a brand new push-pull! https://www.emmonsguitar.co
