Has anyone used this power amp with a steel guitar. Thinking about buying one and would appriciate any comments

I said awhile ago, & will repeat.....
these amps weigh a <h1>TON!!!</h1>

Used ones shouldn't be more than a couple
hundred dollars. Not very practical though.
Unless your getting it real cheap...look
for something else.

We use 6 of the new CS800X amps for our Church sound system, and they are great amps. They are smaller than the old CS800's (3 rack spaces instead of 4 or 5) but they are still heavy. I believe they put out around 600 watts per channel at 4 ohms. For carrying around, a Peavey DPC750, 1000, or 1400 would be much better.

The latest version of the CS800, which is the CS800S which weighs in at 37lbs.. This version has the switching power supply. The previous versions weighed around 65-70lbs.. (off the top of my head).

Thanks for all the info, I think I've made up my mind to go with something really lightweight.
