Recommendations for purchasing tubes
I've got an old 68-70 vintage Fender Princeton Reverb Amp that has lost most of its volume. I'm thinking that it probably needs to be retubed. At least that's what I'm planning on trying first.
Anyone have any suggestions for a good place to purchase new tubes for this oldie but goodie?
Thanks,
George

I can recommend two places to et NOS tubes.
KCA tubes can be reached on the internet at Bluestat@erols.com.
Angela Instruments may be reached at angela.com.
I have had very good dealings with both places. They both have pretty self-descriptive listings, however, it is helpful to talk directly to ask questions such as the difference between Bugle Boy and Telefunken in a Princeton Reverb.
By the way, Angela is a great place to buy Black Cat caps for your homemade Fender Tweed projects.
I built the simple 6V6 amp from the instructions on the Angela site. Housed in a bigger box, the thing sounds better than a Tweed Princeton for home (living room volume) guitar or steel work.

I got good, fast service from www.thetubestore.com and they have a pretty good selection.
